Lanzhou University Institutes Conduct Educational Exchange Programs Abroad

In a bid to enhance intercollegiate collaboration and promote student exchange, several institutes from Lanzhou University, including the College of Liberal Arts, School of Economics, College of Earth and Environmental Sciences, School of Politics and International Relations, and the International Institute for Cultural Exchange, embarked on educational exchange programs in countries such as France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Thailand, Vietnam, and Japan, following the university's strategic planning.

Lanzhou University to the students

Ms. Jia Haiyan from the School of Politics and International Relations exchanged with students

We visited Li Yueyi, an alumnus who volunteered to teach at Phuket Confucius Institute

From November 26 to December 3, 2019, various schools from Lanzhou University took part in study abroad consultation events held in Thailand and Vietnam. Additionally, they visited the Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University in Phuket to meet Li Yueyi, a master's student in Chinese International Education from Lanzhou University, who is voluntarily engaged in teaching.

Between November 26 and 30, 2019, Lanzhou University was invited to participate in the 6th China-Japan Education Exchange Meeting. This provided an opportunity for in-depth discussions with institutions such as the Kansai University Alliance, Kyoto University Alliance, the Japan-China Cultural Exchange Center, and various Japanese higher education institutions.

Following the International Department of the Ministry of Education's schedule, from November 17 to 27, 2019, Lanzhou University engaged in the "Study in China" and "Go Abroad" higher education exhibitions hosted in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. This also included visits to prestigious institutions such as the University of Paris-Saclay, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and Université libre de Bruxelles, as well as meetings with the Chinese Mission to the European Union. Furthermore, a representative from the International Institute for Cultural Exchange was invited to the "Sino-Dutch Higher Education Seminar" where they gave a presentation.

Throughout this series of events, the participating schools actively contributed to the promotion of China's higher education system, emphasizing Lanzhou University's distinctive educational features, academic strengths, achievements in international education, and policies regarding international student recruitment.

It is important to note that 50 domestic universities also took part in these events, which have contributed significantly to enhancing exchanges between the Chinese and foreign higher education sectors and bolstering the global presence of Chinese higher education.
