Lecture Description:

Germany was once one of the most environmentally polluted countries in the world. In the late 1950s, the Rhine River suffered severe water pollution, with water that was black and foul-smelling, earning it the nickname "Europe's sewer" and "Europe's public toilet." However, after decades of ecological governance, Germany has become internationally recognized as one of the best countries for environmental protection and successful ecological governance. Its mature and efficient environmental governance model can provide valuable lessons for China's ecological civilization construction.

Environmental protection is not just the responsibility of government departments; it concerns the vital interests of every individual and requires the participation of every citizen. In this lecture, Dr. Ma Weijing will share how the German people have normalized eco-friendly living. He will discuss how environmental protection is integrated into daily life.
