Professor Tek Maraseni's Academic Lecture on December 26th

At the invitation of Professor Gou Xiaohua from the College of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Lanzhou University, Professor Tek Maraseni from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, conducted academic exchanges and delivered a lecture on December 26, 2023.

Speaker Profile:

Tek Maraseni, Ph.D., is a Professor and Executive Deputy Director at the Sustainable Catchment Centre, University of Southern Queensland, Australia. His research primarily focuses on economics, agriculture, forestry, water, food, natural resource management, carbon accounting, and simulation. He has authored five monographs, published over 225 articles, with more than 7600 citations and an h-index of 49. Professor Maraseni ranks 5th globally in "Carbon Management" and 87th in "Forestry" on Google Scholar. Currently, he serves as a peer reviewer for ten international journals and as a forestry expert for the WMO-FAO-UNESCO working group. He has received the Outstanding Research Award from UniSQ and the Senior International Scientist Award from China. In 2013, he was appointed as a special visiting researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and in 2012 as a visiting researcher at the Lanzhou Documentation and Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
