(referred to as "Thermo Fisher"), was held grandly in Lanzhou.

The signing and unveiling ceremony was attended by Mr. Liang Guosheng, Deputy Director of the Laboratory and Equipment Management Office at Lanzhou University; Mr. Shi Zhaojun, Party Secretary of the College of Earth and Environmental Sciences; Mr. Geng Haopeng, Vice Dean; Mr. Dong Guanghui, Executive Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Western China's Environmental Systems; Mr. Wang Xin, Deputy Director; Ms. Pan Yanhui, Director of the Testing Center. From Thermo Fisher, attendees included Mr. Wang Qinghua, Director of Business Intelligence and Process Analysis in the Chemical Analysis Division, along with other distinguished guests. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. He Jianhua, Deputy Director of the Testing Center at the College of Earth and Environmental Sciences.

Signing Ceremony

Professor Dong Guanghui and Mr. Wang Qinghua delivered speeches. Professor Dong introduced the platform construction, research status, and achievements in talent cultivation of the Key Laboratory. He expressed that this collaboration would further advance the high-level application of X-ray fluorescence technology in the fields of geography, geology, and environmental analysis. Mr. Wang Qinghua stated, "Thermo Fisher, as a leader in the scientific services field, has been committed to providing excellent research products and services globally. We are delighted to establish a strategic partnership with Lanzhou University's Key Laboratory of Western China's Environmental Systems. This collaboration will fully leverage our respective strengths, jointly promote innovation and development in X-ray fluorescence technology, and contribute to the establishment of high-level application laboratories in the western region, fostering the cultivation of outstanding technical talents."

Base Unveiling

Subsequently, Professor Wang Xin and Mr. Wang Qinghua signed the agreement. Deputy Director Liang Guosheng and Secretary Shi Zhaojun unveiled and presented the base.

Base Visit

Following the signing ceremony, a campus technical exchange organized by Thermo Fisher took place in Room 502 of Qilian Hall. Professor Wang Xin introduced Lanzhou University's Key Laboratory of Western China's Environmental Systems, and engineers Tang Jiawei, Zhu Minqing, Xu Jing, and Wu Pu presented reports on the latest developments, applications, and common problem-solving solutions in university research related to X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, rotational rheology-spectroscopy coupling technology, molecular spectroscopy technology, and UV-Visible spectrophotometer. Attendees engaged in in-depth discussions with the engineers on topics of interest. During the meeting, participants visited the Key Laboratory of Western China's Environmental Systems, and Cao Huihui, Deputy Director of the Testing Center, provided a comprehensive overview of the operation of various branch laboratories and the application of scientific research.
